And here we are! 2017 is ended.
In 2017 I travelled a lot, worked together with many photographers that I love, in exclusive locations, like Hotel Royal Victoria, Villa Sola Cabiati, Isola Comacina, Villa La Valera, and more. I had the privilege to tell the stories of great loves and sweet soulmates, and once again I realized how lucky I am to do the job I love and that gives me the chance to express myself 100%.
Another thing that I will bring forever in my heart of this 2017 is definitely the participation in the Ostuni Workshop, hosted in one of the most beautiful places I’d ever seen, the Masseria Montenapoleone. I arrived there without expectations, but full of curiosity; I came back home with a wealth of emotions and new friends that I never imagined finding and that I will never forget. I had the privilege to share a whole week with artists and colleagues that I respect a lot, like Gianluca e Mary Adovasio, André and Sofia from Brancoprata, Nadia Meli, Alessio Albi, Yannick and Susann from Krautkopf, Vicky Baumann, Mark Pacura, Ross Tanner from Flothemes, Gabe McClintock, Adrian Wood, Sotiris Tsakanikas, Marko Marinkovic. We shared food (above all, great food in Apulia!), laughter, hugs, tips, tons of notions learned about marketing, business, and obviously photography. I completely lost my mind for the colours of the sky, the sea and the land in Apulia, and for its perfumes, for the endless expanses of olive trees. I can’t wait to go back (I already have in mind a wonderful trip on the road, I want to turn it all far and wide!). We had the opportunity to take pictures with colleagues who are a great source of inspiration, masters in their artistic field. I can’t wait to show you the pictures taken and I hope to come back next year to hug old friends and meet new ones. Coming back home after such an experience was very shocking.
This past year was really very difficult and tiring, the hardest for me because of the very painful choices I had to face. Despite this, I feel lucky and I close it full of gratitude to all the people I had the pleasure to meet during this year and who have supported, endured, helped in every possible way, have been close even if we were far away. THANK YOU, without you it would certainly have been a year to forget, but I will close it full of hope towards the future, that hope you gave to me.
Now I’m going through a phase of transition, I arrived at the end of the year very tired, I asked too much to myself to be able to bring everything to an end and now I’m exhausted, I need to rest and especially to understand who I am, what I want and where I’m going. It’s not easy, but I think it’s time to devote myself a little more to myself and my baby, to be able to start the new year more loaded than ever. I need to take more pictures for myself, just for the sake of doing them, just as I did before being a professional. I need to find myself.
And now I can’t wait to see what this 2018 will give me.
